Newborn Hooded Ripple Sweater

Newborn Hooded Ripple Sweater


I used Simply Soft Yarn
size G hook
Buttons
**(Please remember that different yarns, different size hooks and also depending on your tension this pattern will come out to different sizes.)

Sweater
Row 1.) With size G Hook, ch 40, dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in next 4 ch, *(1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc in next ch)*, dc in next 6 ch, repeat *( )*, dc in next 10 ch, repeat *( )*, dc in next 6 ch, repeat *( )*, dc in last 6 ch.
Row 2.) Ch 2, turn, *(dc to next ch sp, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc in ch sp,)* Repeat to end.
Rows 3.-5.) Repeat row 2
Row 6.) ch 2, turn, dc to ch sp, 1 dc in ch sp, Ch 4, skip sts to next ch sp, 1 dc in ch sp, dc to next ch sp, 1 dc in ch sp, Ch 4, skip next sts to next ch sp, 1 dc in ch sp, dc to end. ( Armholes made)
Row 7.) ch 1, turn, sc across, Do Not sc in the last st.
Row 8.) ch 2 turn, sk 1 st, *(1 dc in the next st, 5 dc in the next st, 1 dc in the next st, sk next 2 st)* Repeat across ending with sk 1, dc in the last st.
Row 9.) ch 2 turn, sk 1 dc, *(dc in the next 2 st, 3 dc in the next st, dc in the next 2 st, sk 2 st)* Repeat to the end, ending with sk 1, dc in top of turning ch.
Rows 10-14.) Repeat Row 9
Row 15.) ch 2 turn, sk 1 dc, *(dc in next 2 st, 5 dc in the next st, dc in next 2 st, skip 2 st)* Repeat across ending with sk 1, dc in top of ch.

Sleeves
Row 1.) Attach Yarn under arm, ch 2, do 23 dc around armhole evenly, sl st in top of first ch 2. (24 st, counting ch 2)
Row 2.) Ch 2, turn, DC in each st around, sl st in top of first ch 2.
Rows 3.-9.) Repeat Row 2.
Row 10.) ch 1, turn, sc in first st *(Decrease sc over next 2 st, sc in next st)*, repeat around.
Row 11.) ch 1, turn, sc in each st across, sl st to join. Fasten off and weave in ends.
REPEAT FOR SECOND SLEEVE.

Trim
Starting on left side at bottom, sc up this side 3 sc in corner, sc around neck to next corner, 3 sc in corner, sc in next st, *(ch 3 sc in same st,)*, sc in next 2 st, repeat *( )*, sc in next 2 st, repeat *( )*, sc to the end, sl st in last st, fasten off, weave in end. 3 Button holes made. (of course you may trim this the way you would like to)
Attach buttons on the left side.

HOOD
Attach yarn to opposite side of starting ch, ch 2, dc in each ch across, ch 2 turn.
Row 2-12 …Dc in each dc, and ch 2 , at end of row 12 fold hood in half, slip st (or sew) together, weave in ends.
Chain 100 , secure ends of chain, weave in and out of first row.
